Hope everyone had a great time at Brewslam! After a break in October, we’re kicking things back off with our November club meeting at Avling Brewery.
This month we’re thrilled to have Brandon Judd from Avling Brewery joining us to share his brewing process for his sours and incorporating fruits, honey and botanicals. It’s a great chance to learn firsthand about the techniques behind one of the most refreshing and creative beer styles out there.

Avling is one of Toronto’s most innovative craft breweries, incorporating fresh grown produce (from their rooftop garden) to make a huge range of beers from German pilsners to sour mixed fermentations. Join us for a chat with Brandon from Avling where we’ll discuss how to manage the mashing process, reduce oxygen content on the hot side and cold side, preserve foam, and even how to handle blending and bottle conditioning of mixed ferm beers.
Membership & Guest Attendance
Due to AGCO requirements for serving home-brewed beer under SOP (Special Occasion Permit), club membership is required to attend monthly meetings. However, prospective members are invited to attend their first meeting as a guest to check us out before committing to membership.
