Join us this October for a deep dive into yeast flavour and biotransformation (is it real, how real is it, can we make it realer?!) with premier yeast provider Escarpment Labs. We're temporarily departing from our regular meeting spots this month - this meeting will be taking place at Rorschach Brewing Co.!
Our hosts at Rorschach are excited to have us, and have even gone so far as to request that our members share their homebrew with the staff! So, bring your latest creation and don’t forget to bring your tasting glass!
Also, don't forget to patronize our hosts!! Rorschach offers a wide selection of fine beers to go so don't hesitate to grab some especially if you don't get out to see them as often as you'd like!

Presentation: Yeast Flavour & Biotransformation
Unlock the meaning of life, the universe and everything (at least in the context of yeast flavour...) with Escarpment Labs co-founder, scientist and homebrewer Richard Preiss. Learn about unlocking different flavour compounds, coaxing out character and [bio]transforming your brews into their true form as nature intended.
Club VP Josh Davis will also have 2 beers prepared to compare two yeast strains from Escarpment Lab (one of which is a brand new, proprietary strain)! Take part in the blind triangle taste test to see if you can pick out the differences.
There will also be, of course, some social time and some announcements regarding the exciting club events coming up as well!!
Membership & Guest Attendance
Due to AGCO requirements for serving home-brewed beer under SOP (Special Occasion Permit), club membership is required to attend monthly meetings. However, prospective members are invited to attend their first meeting as a guest to check us out before committing to membership.
