Presentation: The Shape of Water Chemistry with Eric Cousineau!

Eric Cousineau

We are happy to welcome back Eric Cousineau to give us a presentation on water chemistry! As is tradition, January's meeting theme is brewing water chemistry! This month will mark the 6th iteration of Eric's famous "Intro to Brewing Water" presentation. We will start with the basics like pH and minerals, and their effect on your brewing. Then we will deep dive into some practical tips and tricks to make you comfortable thinking about, and adjusting, brewing water as part of your brewing process.

If you've never seen this presentation before, you don't want to miss it! If you've seen past versions of it, there will be new refinements, and also gives you a great opportunity to refresh.

Style Of The Month: Amber and Brown Ales

Emily Elizabeth Storey is back, back again; Em is back, tell a friend. . . that she's back with the BJCP Style Of The Month! This month, Emily looks at Amber and Brown Ales of all types (English AND American) and provides a brief presentation on the styles and offer some prime examples.

If you can, try and snag a can (or two!) of a very popular local example of a brown ale: Black Oak's Nut Brown Ale (via the LCBO or the brewery)!
