Presentation: Recreating Historical Beers with Jordan St John

If you’re a beer fan and live in the GTA you’ve likely come across Jordan St. John or his work. Author of many books, including the Ontario Craft Beer Guide and Lost Breweries of Toronto, co-host of the Ontario Craft Beer Guide Podcast, teacher of beer courses at George Brown College, graduate of the Niagara College brewing school, and holder of Certified Cicerone and Certified BJCP titles, Jordan knows a thing or two about beer. He has also collaborated with several local breweries to re-create historical beer styles, and he’ll be presenting to us on those collaborations this month! Join us as he talks about brewing The Helliwell Old Ale with Muddy York and the Revelator 1896 Bock with Amsterdam.

Brewery Show/Tell

During our last few meetings, we had several club members show and tell their home brewery spaces. The feedback has been very positive so we want to keep it going! It’s a great opportunity to see more of our club members brewing spaces and equipment that we wouldn’t normally see in an in person club meeting.

The first 30 minutes of the meeting will be dedicated to this idea! In order to execute this in an orderly fashion, we need people to email us to sign up!

Please email meetings@gtabrews.ca to sign up, or IM Eric Cousineau on Facebook.
