This month, we have famous homebrew author John Palmer sharing his knowledge about Brewing Water, followed by a Q&A session! This time last year John joined us as a special guest at Brew Slam, and we are very excited to have him back.

For this meeting we will open up attendance to both members and non-members. Members will have first rights to join using the link above between 7:30 - 8:00 PM. At 8:00 PM we will share the public link on our social media to welcome in non-members (up to 100 people total).

As with any conference call, please mute your microphone if you aren't speaking, this really helps cut down on background noise. During Q&A segments we will make use of the "Raise Hand" feature.

Presentation: Brewing Water and Q&A with John Palmer

Renowned homebrewer and author John Palmer is known for his books How to Brew, Brewing Classic Styles, and Water: A Comprehensive Guide for Brewers. No doubt you've read at least one of them while learning how to homebrew! He also co-hosts the Brew Strong podcast and has written many articles for Brew Your Own magazine. Palmer has a degree in Metallurgical Engineering, and has helped design, build and inspect hardware that is currently part of the International Space Station. He is from Michigan and now resides in California.

Brewery Show/Tell

During our last few meetings, we had several club members show and tell their home brewery spaces. The feedback has been very positive so we want to keep it going! It's a great opportunity to see more of our club members brewing spaces and equipment that we wouldn't normally see in an in person club meeting.

The first 30 minutes of the meeting will be dedicated to this idea! In order to execute this in an orderly fashion, we need people to email us to sign up!

Please email meetings@gtabrews.ca to sign up, or IM Eric Cousineau on Facebook.
