Presentation: Hard Seltzer with Marcelo Paniza

This month, we have our very own Marcelo Paniza sharing his knowledge with a presentation on Hard Seltzer! Marcelo is a well known member of our club, who has been a constant source of knowledge and inspiration for many of us. He won the Henderson Cup in Brew Slam 2018 with his Pilsnermonic. He has since used his passion to launch Paniza Brewing, with his flagship LCBO beer, Paniza Pilsner, becoming a mainstay in many of our beer fridges.

Lately he has dedicated a significant amount of his time at refining his Hard Seltzer brewing process. This alcoholic beverage is seeing a surge of popularity right now, and homebrewers can make their very own using equipment you already have! The most prominent brand of hard seltzer is White Claw, which has been selling well since its introduction to the LCBO this past winter. Examples of this beverage have a very dry finish because the sugar is completely fermented, and it is often paired with some kind of fruit flavouring. We're very excited to learn more from Marcelo!

Brewery Show/Tell

During our last few meetings, we had several club members show and tell their home brewery spaces. The feedback has been very positive so we want to keep it going! It's a great opportunity to see more of our club members brewing spaces and equipment that we wouldn't normally see in an in person club meeting.

The first 30 minutes of the meeting will be dedicated to this idea! In order to execute this in an orderly fashion, we need people to email us to sign up!

Please email meetings@gtabrews.ca to sign up, or IM Eric Cousineau on Facebook.
